	The importance of the Leukaemia Foundation's Shave for a Cure Fundraising event has been brought home to us this year with the diagnosis of a Tuggeranong junior's illness. Luke Elton was a member of our under 16 team last year having played right through the junior age groups. Luke's teammate Tim Baker and his mother Sue Baker are raising funds in support of Luke and other leukaemia sufferers. Please consider sponsoring them by pledging at their page -

GUIDELINES FOR HOT WEATHER CONDITIONS

All Coaches/managers/parents/carers should be aware of the following basic principles that need to be considered:

The prime concern at all times is the safety and well being of the players.

Coaches/managers at each match are in the best position to assess the conditions at a given venue, if in the slightest doubt, call the match off.

Ensure that everyone(umpires included) are well hydrated. Drinks breaks should be taken as needed(including off the field if considered necessary)

Players not currently on the field should be in shaded/covered areas, and undertaking minimum exercise.
